Hello Mrs Murphy's Class and especially hello to Hayley,
When I taught year 2 children we used to have 6 baby chickens in the classroom for about 6 weeks. They used to arrive when they were only 2 or 3 days old and we used a light as a heater to keep them warm. When they got bigger we had to clip their wings so that they wouldn't fly around the classroom.

Welcome to LC 1 in 2013. Thanks for visiting our blog. We are a Year 1 class from Palmerston North, New Zealand. Please leave us a comment as we love reading them.
Hello Mrs Murphys Class (we call her Grandma)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the video showing us our Grandpas chickens. We think they are great too.
We both have chickens at our schools here in London. Rileys are in an incubator (so still in the egg) and Kaitlins are in a cage in the playground.
Look forward to seeing more of your videos and what great reading you are doing on the video.
Lots of love
